 FRONT DESK AGENT

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for the registration of new guests, departures, PBX, reservations, cashier close reports and Front Office reports during the any given shifts. The  Front Desk Agent will interact and work closely with other departments in an efficient manner and provide and maintain the highest possible service standards to our guests at all times.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2  years experience as a Front Desk in a boutique hotel, luxury hotel or resort
  • Be flexible to work shifts that may include weekends, holidays or late nights

FOOD AND BEVERAGE DIRECTOR

The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the overall administration and operation of the Food & Beverage department including but not limited to; maximization of profit, establishment of quality service, maintenance of high colleague performance and guest service satisfaction.

This “working” Food and Beverage Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of the food and beverage front of the house, including Banquets, Restaurant, Pool Service and In-Room Dining. This will include the associated finance, team building and staff development. Coordinate, direct, and manage the staff and everyday food and beverage operations to achieve profitability, guest satisfaction and efficiency while maintaining established quality standards. A strong balanced recent background in Banquets & Restaurants is preferred. Work with other departments as it pertains and relates to F&B, this includes Sales, Accounting, Engineering, and Front Office Operations.

EXECUTIVE CHEF

The Executive Chef hires, manages, and assesses staff. They manage food inventory, purchasing and develops and reviews the budget. This position also creates food items and menus. HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR

The Housekeeping Supervisor provides support to the Director of Housekeeping and the Asst. Director of Housekeeping.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Checking rooms (check-out and occupied) daily to ensure that the quality standards are being maintained by the Room and House Attendants
  • Ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas and back of the house work areas meet the established standards in order to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue
  • Reporting all maintenance issues to Ground Control in a timely manner
  • Prepare and inspect all VIP rooms
  • Working with team members to develop their skills and maintain cleaning standards
  • Assisting team members in securing all supplies and tools necessary for the completion of their jobs as the need arises
  • Assisting team where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests
  • Assist Director and Assistant Director of Housekeeping with monthly inventories

PM SERVER

The primary responsibility of the PM Server is to take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables during the evening shift according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently.  Collect payment and assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • 3 years experience as a Restaurant Server.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • ServSafe Training certificate a plus

ASSISTANT FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

Under the general guidance of the Front Office Manager, oversee the daily operations of the Reception Department.  Ensure that front desk and communications meet hotel standards for maximum guest satisfaction.  Act as the main contact for guests and other hotel departments in the absence of the Front Office Manager.

Duties & Functions:

  • Ensure efficient guest registration, check out and telephone service
  • Observe front desk agents and ensure that established procedures are completed in accordance with policy and procedure, i.e., proper public relations techniques are utilized, guests are handled both courteously and professionally, proper identification and credit are established and all posting, cash transactions, account settlements and deposits are handled correctly
  • Observe front desk and telephone attendants and ensure that their duties are completed in accordance with established policy and procedure, i.e., proper public relations techniques are utilized, calls are handled both courteously and professionally, calls are answered on a timely basis and the proper greetings are used, messages and faxes are handled correctly and efficiently, guest complaints and problems are handled in a courteous and professional manner, and ensure follow through
  • Direct and train front desk staff and bellman
  • Assist in new-hire and on-going training
  • Direct and assist front desk staff and telecommunications in organizing breaks, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and according to schedule
  • Ensure all necessary reports and forms are completed daily

Specific Job Knowledge & Skills:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • One year hotel front office experience required. Supervisory experience preferred
  • One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
  • For Union properties only: Must possess a minimum of three (3)to five (5) years Hotel and/or Food and Beverage operational experience in a Union environment.  Must have strong and proven knowledge and practice of Hotel Collective Bargaining Agreements  (will be subject to a skill test during interview process)
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments

POOL AMBASSADOR (Mornings and Into Evening)

  • Greet and ensure guest/member status of all pool patrons and act as the hotel’s Maître d’ at the pool
  • Create and foster positive guest experiences and possess an outgoing personality passionate about interacting with both foreign guests and local taste makers (Multilingual a plus)
  • Ensure proper pool standards for towels, lounge chairs, and guest areas.
  • Assist Cocktail Server and Bartender with orders and clearing tables as needed. Pool Ambassador will participate in tip pool during F+B Hours.
  • Potential to act as Host/Ambassador for lounge events later in the evening.

ASSISTANT FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

  • Manage and monitor activities of all employees in the Front Office department making sure they adhere to the standards of excellence and to the guidelines set in the employee handbook, hotel policies and procedures, coaching, training and correcting where needed.
  • Direct and oversee all Front Office operations while on duty to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
  • Check accommodations, making sure any special requests are carried out accordingly, greet guests upon arrival and ensure escort to accommodations if appropriate.
  • Maintain a professional and high quality service oriented environment at all times.
  • Act as manager on duty for the hotel in the absence of the Director of Front Office dealing with complaints, problem solving, disturbances, special requests and any other issues that may arise.
  • Manage the shift in the department ensuring all employees perform the tasks assigned to them and coordinate Front Office activities with other departments.
  • Ensure the accurate completion of the daily night audit in a timely fashion.
  • Must be able to perform the full night audit.
  • Responsible of daily summary reports.
  • Work closely with the Housekeeping Department to improve guest services and foster cross departmental communications.
  • Be aware and able to enforce all fire-life-safety procedures.
  • Remain current in all updates with regards to new procedures and training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Hospitality preferred
  • At least 3 year of supervisory experience and at least two years of front desk or housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of Opera is a must
  • Supervising a team of up to 5 directly
  • Ten hour shift; scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Ability to work well and maintain organization in a fast paced environment
  • FSD certified preferred
